Cabaret Performance in Seattle

On Friday, July 27, 7:30 at University of Washington's Kane Hall, I will have the pleasure of joining Kim TallBear, Samantha Archer, Dr. Keolu Fox, Dr. Tracy Bear, and krisha hernández for a cabaret show that features stories and other performances related to sex and science.

"Tipi Confessions™, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is an offshoot of the Austin, Texas based Bedpost Confessions™ show. The show is produced by three Indigenous women, two professors and one PhD student at the University of Alberta Faculty of Native Studies. We bring stories and performances to the stage that feature positive and decolonial sexualities as an antidote to the shaming of Indigenous and other peoples' sexualities by colonial states such as the US and Canada. Sexy Science Confessions is an event affiliated with the Summer Internship for INdigenous Peoples in Genomics (SING), an annual training program for aspiring Indigenous scientists. So get ready to find out how science can be sexy and decolonized! You will be titillated. You will laugh. And you can submit your own anonymous audience confessions to be read on stage by our sexy emcees! Doors at 6:30PM, cash bar. Show at 7:30PM."
